A new issue of OXM claims that Timeplitters 4 is very much alive and kicking.
“Trusted OXM sources have claimed that they’ve seen TimeSplitters 4 running. That’s no guarantee that it’ll be released – at least one version of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 was cancelled without ever being announced – but it’s a promising sign,” the magazine reads. ”If we do get a proper sequel, we’re likely to see the old games appear, too.”
We cannot understand why Crytek has not made a Timesplitters sequel yet. The series sold relatively well, had backing from EA (which it would most likely get again) and there are very few ‘arcade’ FPS games on the market at the moment. The game is a huge cash cow waiting to be milked!
