Freddie Wong, , of Rocketjump, has released a new trailer for an online webseries called Video Game High School. What’s impressive about this is not merely the quality of the production, but the talent working behind it.
Focusing on protagonist Brian, who has just joined VGHS (as the school is referred to by students in the clip), we get to follow the freshman as he tries to make one of the school’s team. Along the way he meats the leader of the FPS team, Jenna Matrix, who appears to become the love interest in the story, and his new found fried, Ted Wong.
Watching the trailer, we were impressed by the variety of well known faces that have joined the cast. Brian Firenzi, from 5secondfilms plays the shows antagonist, Zachary Levi, most known from Chuck, takes the roll of one of the professors, and Harley Morenstein, aka the Sauce Boss from Epic Meal Time, becomes the schools principal. Various Rocketjump members are expected to make appearances as well.
You can watch the first episode at rocketjump.com and starting from May 17, it will be uploaded to YouTube, while the second one will be up on rocketjump page. “The whole series will be available on YouTube, RocketJump, and hopefully a bunch of other places,” Freddie writes.
Even if these live action bits aren’t your thing, you should at least check out the trailer.
