Square Enix has officially announced its Final Fantasy XIV reboot under the name “A Realm Reborn”.

Calling this the 2.0 version of the MMO, the updated game has been “rebuilt from the ground up” and focuses on the concept of rebirth.

With a new world to explore and storyline to go with it, Enix hopes to deliver a sustainable online Final Fantasy experience, after the lacklustre launch they previously witnessed.We look forward to see how this relaunch will turn out.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be coming soon to PS3 and PC.
