Carmageddon Reincarnation has been in development for quite some time now and players are looking forward to see what “sick twists” the revival of this franchise has in stock.
With Total Destruction Racing 2000 being the latest title in the series to be released, it has been nearly 12 years since we’ve seen the last Carmageddon. Over at All Games Beta, we got our first look at the first prototype screens for the upcoming “reincarnation” of the series.
In the screens we can see pretty basic tracks which remind one of the grounds seen in Trackmania, but showing off its looks, is the centre piece of it all the classic Red Eagle “a car designed for rammin’ and slammin’”.
“All the laughs, the crazy power-ups, and extreme destruction will return,” said Stainless Executive Director Neil Barnden in an interview last year. “We will make sure the existing fans get what they want and expect from a Carmageddon game, and a new generation discovers the delights of sliding into a Cunning Stunt.”
The game is still in it development stages so no word on a release so far, but the game is planned to be released as a downloadable title sometime this year.
