Platinum Games multiplayer brawler was meant to be launched in January 2012 but has been put back until July 3rd (North America), or 6th (Europe).
Sega West senior VP of marketing Gary Knight explained why the delay has happened:
“Anarchy Reigns brings a new take to the brawler genre and we’ve decided to take a little more time to deliver the full knockout punch.
“I can’t reveal much now, but it’s something to do with scale. Let’s just say traditional one on one or two versus two fighters will be a thing of the past…”
Platinum Games was is one of the best developers out there. While they have not had a completely clean track record, they usually try something original so we are looking forward to see if Anarchy Reigns works.
