GAME and Gamestation not selling Mass Effect 3 and other EA titles

High Street retailers GAME and Gamestation will not be selling Mass Effect 3 when it is released on the 9th of March. The store has recently been in financial difficulty, with it looking more likely that the stores will be forced to close.

The company stated that due to ”commercial reasons” the company would not be stocking Mass Effect 3.

GAME said in a statement: “We currently have a supply issue with regards to Mass Effect 3, which means that GAME and gamestation will not be able to fulfil orders for Mass Effect 3 at this time. We want to give customers as much notice about this as possible and provide them with a range of options ahead of launch.”

GAME and Gamestation will not be stocking any EA games after the new SSX is released. FIFA Street 3, Tiger Woods 13 and Sims 3 Showtime will not be available in either game stores.

GAME recently stopped stocking Ubisoft Vita titles and The Last Story.

Makes me glad I play EvE, there is only one shard (well technically 3, if you count the Chinese and the test svreer in eve we really can’t complain too much about Chinese isk farmers). Incidentally this can also be caused by expansions. One thing about all this increasing content a lot of MMOs do, is that they tend to increase the acreage of the game. Thereby diluting the population and making it appear much more sparsely populated. There is also the fact that the longer the stretch between the low levels and the end game, the more stretched out it gets, and again the less populated it appears. This very effect is what eventually killed FFXI for me. Don’t get me wrong I still love that and have fond memories of it. It did some things very well and others rather poorly in retrospect. But once past a certain point the world kept getting bigger and bigger, and the population stayed about the same which had the effect of making it seem less and less populated. With attendant problems in finding parties and the cookie cutter parties that resulted (less parties mean that less people were willing to experiment with different party setups or play styles). Then I discovered EvE. Took 8 months but eventually I canceled my FFXI account, thereby killing my 3 year old level 73 red mage (unlike other mmo’s after 3 months away they erase your char info).
