Nintendo has always been coy on the idea of paid DLC. It seems to have finally caved with the story that TheatrRhythm will be the first 3DS game to charge users for content.

Sharp eyed gamers realised Square Enix’s game was to host the first set of paid DLC on the 3DS when looking at dummy boxes  for the game. Here people saw small print which outlined new paid content for the game in the future.

With TheatrRhythm  release set for February the 16th in Japan it would make it the first 3DS game to feature paid for DLC.

That said, rhythm based game looks set to have thousands sliding, blowing and tapping our 3DS’ to a multitude of Final Fantasy tunes.
